The Beatles Best Acoustic Guitar Tracks as featured in Guitar Techniques Magazine

In November's issue of Guitar Techniques Stuart Ryan did a feature on the acoustic styles of each member of the Beatles. Although not providing any tabs for singular songs he did mention 9 tracks he regarded as a must-learn for aspiring acoustic guitarists. Here they are in the form of a youtube playlist! Click the arrows on the left and right of the video to scroll through the songs.

Rockschool Guitar Grade 8 book has arrived

Flicking through it now. The main elements of a Rockschool grade are performance pieces, technical exercises, sight-reading and improvisation, ear tests and general musicianship questions. I don't think much of it will be a problem for myself besides sight reading but I think I've found a decent resource to help me develop that (more on that later!).

Try out Hydrogen Drum Machine

I've been having some fun this afternoon playing with an open source drum machine called hydrogen. Anyone who uses ubuntu/linux and likes music should check it out.

Edit: There is also an experimental build for windows. Its a bit rough but does the job!
